Cookbook + Clay Club: Veggies for Breakfast
Join Willi Galloway, author of the new cookbook Veggies for Breakfast & Ceramicist Jaime Holub for a creative, hands-on Sunday afternoon at Sandy River Studio. The fire will be crackling in the studios wood stove as we gather together and explore ways to make our mornings more mindful and grounded in the year ahead. Willi will share seasonal bites from her cookbook, offer a cooking demo and share ideas for preparing healthy make-ahead and easy-to-assemble plant-forward breakfasts. Jaime will lead the class in crafting our own ceramic breakfast vessel with clay. You will design the shape to accommodate your needs and maybe one of the dishes showcased from the cookbook will inspire you! We all enjoy eating different foods out of different shapes - why not have a special vessel that is reserved for your sacred breakfast. Each attendee will also receive a signed copy of the cookbook to take home them and your pottery will be ready for pick up or shipping about 3-4 weeks after the class.

what we will do
Jaime will lead you through a hand building techniques to achieve the your own custom breakfast vessel. This process is great for all skill levels - yes! even if you have never done pottery before. She will offer a straightforward demonstration to guide the class and also offer personalize attention through the whole session. When you are finished with your breakfast vessel you will get to choose a glaze color for the finished piece. Each ceramic piece will be food safe & dishwasher safe. We are hoping that with your hands to craft and intentional moment around food will inspire and nourish our daily rituals.
